Day 1:Danang Arrival - Hoian
My Son was built by the Champa people some 1,500 years ago and it shows their strong Buddhist beliefs : lots of Sanskrit inscriptions, statues and Shiva lingas. Apparently it was a large site with more than 70 temples, but a lot got destroyed by American bombs when the Vietcong hid in it. Only a couple now remain more or less intact. Restorations are ongoing with involvement of the Indian and Japanese governments. Obviously it bears no comparison with Angkor Wat, but I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the site. It's a pity the local Vietnamese seem to have very little interest in this important cultural heritage site.
Day 2:Hoi An
It is no exaggeration to compare Hoi An as an ancient pearl full of charm when it comes to the tourist map of Central Vietnam. Hoi An is an accompanying destination not to be missed in the journey to major cities such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue. You will stay 1 night in Hoi An to enjoy the vibrant nightlife when the lanterns are lighten up. This city on the central Vietnamese coast is a well-preserved example of the important Southeast Asian trading port it was from the 15th-19th centuries. Already a common stop for backpackers, it is becoming better known to tourists. On the 14th day of each lunar month, the town trades its electric lights for traditional coloured lanterns. Sights include the Japanese Covered Bridge and the Quan Cong Temple. Let the town’s expert tailors make you some bespoke clothing.
Day 3:Hoi An
You will have big chance to make a lantern by yourself during this tour. Lanterns are made of Vietnamese silk, which is made from silk worms famous in Asia. The silk has beautiful colors and meaningful patterns. You can choose lanterns with wooden frames, some made from very precious wood, with a painting of a legend on each side of the lantern. They are all hand made from bamboo, silk, and wood. Once lighted, lanterns will illuminate with marvelous, mysterious light which will take you hundreds of years back, to times of tales and mystery.
Day 4:Hoi An - Hue
Hai Van pass Da Nang allures people with its unique beauty. If you are an adventurous tourist craving for thrilling experiences, this route will surely astonish you with spectacular natural scenes and numerous delicacies waiting for you to explore. Hai Van pass Vietnam is recognized as one of the world's top ten most beautiful coastal roads. This pass is not only connected with numerous historical events, but it is also a wonderful place for many travelers due to its spectacular and artistic beauty that captivates everyone’s heart. The perilous death curve, together with zigzag roads, will create a challenging trek for backpackers and bring incredibly unique experiences.
Day 5:Hue
A visit to Hue would not be complete without a boat excursion on the gentle Perfume River, or else you cannot feel the romance of Hue .The Perfume River (Vietnamese: Sông Hương or Hương Giang) is a river that crosses the capital city of Hue, in the central Vietnamese province of Thua Thien Hue. Perfume or Huong River is around 80 kilometers long, and owes its name to the fact that it flows through many forests of aromatic plants before reaching Hue, bringing with it a pure and fresh aroma.
It seems that every city in Vietnam can do tourism, because each place has its very own natural picture, along with unique culture and history. Hue is a typical example. This land, despite experiencing many ups and downs of time and the fluctuations of the country, still retains its ancient, gentle and dignified look. However, Hue not only has the relics of the golden age but also possesses many beautiful landscapes that harmonize between passes, clouds, rivers and mountains. Hue cuisine is a combination of the common features of Central cuisine and the distinctive features of the ancient capital.
Day 6:Hue - Departure
Upon arrival at Danang you will be greeted by our guide who will begin by escorting you on a tour of Danang City, including the Cham Museum, Marble Mountain. Continue to delightful township of Hoi An approximately 30 km away. Once at Hoi An we will check into our hotel, followed by some free time to explore. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.
