14 Days Vietnam: Discover Nature, Trekking and Relax

In the morning:

- Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, our driver will greet you with a welcome sign.
- Relax in our air-conditioned private car as we transfer you to your hotel in Hanoi's charming Old Quarter.

In the afternoon:

- Check-in at your hotel.
- Explore the Old Quarter at your own pace, wandering through narrow streets, visiting Hoan Kiem Lake, or enjoying a traditional Vietnamese coffee.

In the evening: Rest and prepare for your adventure ahead.

In the morning:

- Breakfast at your hotel.
- 08.30: Get picked up by our friendly guide and start to explore Hanoi City
- 08.45 - 09.45: Arrive at Tran Quoc Pagoda located on Golden Fish Is Land in West Lake. It is the oldest pagoda in Ha Noi built in the 6th century.
- 09.45 - 11.45: Visit Ho Chi Minh complex, you have a chance to see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh then walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Goddess of Mercy – It is the most unique Padoga in the world. Should dress modestly by covering from shoulders to knees when visiting Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, temples, pagodas… Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.
- 11.45 - 12.45: Visit Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in the whole country of Vietnam
- Special Note: we will visit the Women’s Museum instead of the Ethnology Museum closed on Mondays

In the afternoon:

- 12.45 - 13.45: Have lunch at our restaurant. You have an opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine with 8 delicious dishes.
- 14.00 - 14.45: Continue to visit the Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam, established in the 11 centuries.
- 16.00: Tour finishes. Back to the hotel

In the morning: 

- Depart from Hanoi for Ha Long Bay via expressway (transfer service can be arranged upon request).
- Upon arrival at the cruise lounge around noon, complete check-in procedures and board the overnight cruise. Welcome drinks will be served while the Cruise Manager provides a short briefing and introduces the itinerary and safety regulations.
- Enjoy lunch on board while the cruise begins sailing through the spectacular limestone landscape of Ha Long Bay.

In the afternoon:

- Join one of the cruise’s scheduled activities depending on operating conditions and cruise route, such as: Visit a limestone cave, Kayaking or bamboo boat experience, Swimming or relaxing at a beach area and Sightseeing around the bay
- Return to the cruise and enjoy leisure time. Guests may join the sunset party on the sundeck and participate in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration.
- Dinner is served onboard.
- After dinner, enjoy evening activities such as squid fishing, relaxing at the bar or enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the bay.

- Start the day with an optional Tai Chi session on the sundeck followed by breakfast.
- After breakfast, continue exploring deeper areas of the bay (itinerary may vary depending on cruise operation and weather conditions).
- Activities may include: Visit additional caves and lagoons, Kayaking through limestone formations, Explore floating fishing villages, Swimming and sightseeing
- Lunch will be served either onboard the main cruise or on a day boat depending on the cruise arrangement.
- In the afternoon, continue discovering the peaceful scenery of the bay and enjoy more time for relaxation.
- Return to the main cruise in the late afternoon.
- Enjoy sunset moments from the sundeck followed by dinner onboard.
- Free evening at leisure. Optional activities may be available onboard.

In the morning: 

- Early morning, guests may join an optional Tai Chi class while enjoying sunrise over the bay.
- Light breakfast is served onboard.
- Continue with the final excursion of the cruise program (subject to cruise operation), which may include cave visiting or scenic cruising.
- Return to the cruise and complete check-out procedures.
- Enjoy brunch while the cruise slowly returns to the pier.

In the afternoon:

- 10:30: Return to Hanoi by shuttle bus (~3.5 hours) 
- 14:30: Arrive in Hanoi 
- 14:45: Free and easy in Hanoi 
- 15:30: Transfer to Noi Bai Airport

In the evening:

- 16:15: Check-in at airport 
- 18:05: FLIGHT: HAN → Dong Hoi (VN1265, 1h 10min) 
- 19:15: Arrive Dong Hoi Airport 
- 20:00: Private car transfer to your hotel on Dong Hoi

In the afternoon: 

- 13:00: Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Paradise Cave, one of the most impressive natural wonders in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.
- Enjoy an electric buggy ride through the forest before exploring the cave's magnificent chambers, adorned with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. After the visit, return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

In the evening: 

- 17:00: HANG EN EXPEDITION BRIEFING at Oxalis Adventure office • Receive trekking equipment • Safety briefing and route explanation • Physical preparation discussion • Q&A about upcoming 2-day cave camping 
- Overnight in Dong Hoi

In the morning: 

- 07:00: Gather at Oxalis Adventure office 
- 07:30: Private vehicle transfer to jungle trailhead 
- 08:00: BEGIN EXPEDITION

Trekking Phase (6 hours): 

- 08:00 - 12:00: Trek 10km through pristine jungle • Humid rainforest ecosystem • Multiple Rao Thuong stream crossings (6 times total) • Challenging but rewarding terrain • Professional guide and porter support
- 12:00: Lunch beside stream (Porter-prepared meal with local specialties)
- 13:00 - 14:00: Final stream crossing and CAVE ENTRANCE • 90-meter swim into Hang En (life jackets provided) • Gradually adapt to underground cave lighting • Breathtaking moment entering world's largest cave

In the afternoon & evening: 

- 14:00 - 17:00: Explore vast chamber • Sandy beach (pristine white sand) • Ceiling height: 120+ meters (tallest in Southeast Asia) • Natural light penetrates through cave entrance • Underground River system • Geological wonders
- 17:00 - 18:00: Sunset from cave mouth • Golden light filtering through cave opening • Spectacular photography opportunity
- 18:00: BBQ DINNER inside cave (Cooked by porters, Vietnamese & international dishes)
- 20:00: Campfire inside cave, stargazing through cave opening • Witness thousands of stars from cave entrance • Magical once-in-a-lifetime experience
- 22:00: Sleep in tent on sand beach inside Hang En
- Overnight: Camping inside Hang En Cave

In the morning (Inside cave):

- 06:00: Wake up to sunrise inside cave • Soft natural light filters through cave entrance • Listen to cave sounds and natural echoes 
- 06:30: Breakfast prepared by porters
- 07:30: DEEP CAVE EXPLORATION • Chamber 2 (pitch black, requires headlamp) • Swift bird colony (thousands of birds nesting overhead) • Underground formations rarely seen • Photography & video opportunity • Silent reflection in underground palace • Geological study of cave formation
- 09:30: Pack up camp completely (Porters assist with all equipment)
- 10:00: EXIT cave by swimming out (Life jackets on, guided by Oxalis staff)

Trek Out Phase (5 hours): 

- 10:30 -14:30: Trek 10km back to trailhead (reverse route) • Return through jungle to starting point • Familiar trail but fatigue may be present • Porters assist with any difficulties • Stream crossings again • Support available throughout
- 14:30: Arrive at trailhead 
- 15:00: Private car transfer to hotel in Dong Hoi 

In the afternoon & evening: 

- 16:30: Arrival at the hotel
- Early rest to recover from expedition

In the morning:

- 07:00: Breakfast at the hotel
- 07:45: Transfer to Dong Hoi Railway Station
- 08:32: Board Train SE11 (Dong Hoi → Da Nang)

In the afternoon:

- 04:50: Arrive at Da Nang Railway Station
- Private transfer to hotel and check-in
- Relax and enjoy free time at your own pace

In the evening: Free leisure

- Free at leisure throughout the day.
- Enjoy your resort, beach, cafés, shopping, or simply relax at your own pace. Explore Da Nang independently and spend the day according to your preferences.

- After breakfast, free at leisure until transfer to Da Nang International Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
- Meet our driver at Tan Son Nhat Airport and transfer to your hotel in Saigon.
- Overnight in Saigon

- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu.
- Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars. 
- Have lunch at local restaurant.
- Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving.
- Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time.
- Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs.
- Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.
- Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. Return to Saigon. End trip.

- Breakfast at hotel. 
- Transfer to My Tho, about two hours driving southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. Its proximity to Ho Chi Minh City has made My Tho the most popular destination for day-trippers to the delta looking for a taste of authentic delta life. 
- Upon arrival, visitors will take a sampan cruising along the tributaries of the Mekong River for a close-up view of local life. 
- Wander through Thoi Son Island and orchards where you can taste some of a huge variety of tropical fruits. Watch people cultivating their gardens and see the production of honey liquor and production of noodles. 
- You will also visit the old Vinh Trang Pagoda before being transferred back to Saigon. Rest of the day is free at leisure.
- Overnight in Saigon

Free at leisure until time to transfer to the airport for the flight back home
